Joel Basoga
Lecturer

Joel Basoga is a Lecturer in Law teaching different subjects including International Humanitarian Law (IHL). He is also the Editor-In- Chief of the International Humanitarian Law Blog at Uganda Christian University. Mr Basoga is a graduate of Jesus College, University of Oxford (UK) where he specialised in international law, the law of armed conflict, international commercial arbitration, corporate finance law and commercial negotiation among others. 

Jochebed Nassimbwa
Tutor

Jochebed Nassimbwa is a practicing Lawyer and a tutor at Uganda Christian University, Faculty of Law. She is also the co-editor of the International Humanitarian Blog at the Uganda Christian University. She is pursuing an LLM at the University of South Wales in the U.k, holds a Bachelor of Laws (Hons) from Makerere University and a Post Graduate diploma in Legal Practice from the Law Development Center.

Paul Kalondo
Associate at BKA Advocates
Paul works as an Associate at BKA Advocates. He is also a Teaching Assistant at the Faculty of Law at UCU where he teaches IHL and Human Rights Law. Aware of the critical role that IHL plays in protecting those who are not or those who are no longer directly participating in hostilities during an armed conflict, Paul has a has a deep interest in ensuring a greater understanding of IHL principles in Uganda and beyond. 
 
Ms. Patricia Nduru
Ms. Patricia Nduru is lecturer of Human Rights Law and International Humanitarian Law at the Uganda Christian University, Mukono. She worked with the Uganda Human Rights Commission for 12 years , where she served as  Director, Monitoring and Inspections from 2013 to 2018. She represented the Commission at the East African Community, monitored compliance with international human rights standards and reporting on the situation of human rights in the country.  
Ms. Nduru is a consultant to government, International and national organisations and is a member of the Peer Review of the Commentary of the Fourth Geneva Convention .
